While Miss Mbalu Conteh grabbed the 1st Runner up to become the Deputy Miss Africa USA,  Miss Eritrea picked up 2nd Runner up, Miss Liberia was 3rd runner up and the 4th runner up was Miss Rachel Temu.

It was certainly Miss Senegal who combined Belly Dancing and Senegalese traditional dance with a big applause from the audience and big smiles from the judges. She did it, I will never forget that dance. Beautiful beautiful….Miss Senegal won the best talent award in 2007.

A couple of months after the California pageant, the team was rolling out the red carpet for the 2007 Miss Africa USA pageant. 21 beautiful girls from different African countries were represented in the pageant.  Miss Nigeria broke the record and stopped Liberia from winning the crown a third time. The first ever Miss Africa USA California Pageant was hosted by the Shrine of Africa and Immigrant  Magazine. The pageant took place at the elegant African American Musuem in Los Angeles California.
