The first ever Miss Africa USA California Pageant was hosted by the Shrine of Africa and Immigrant  Magazine. The pageant took place at the elegant African American Musuem in Los Angeles California.

Her love for children took Miss Teizue Gayflor to Liberian orphanages to visit orphans who had survived the war but lost their parents. The children were of all age groups from babies to teenagers.  Miss Teizue spent time volunteering at the orphanages and donated gifts for the children.

 Miss Bridget Moses a Georgia based African Designer designed some of the outfits for the contestants.  The pageant MC for 2005 Ms Emelia Orubele kept the audience excited and engaged through out the night.
